    Abundance, fresh air, light and laughter – this is the spell this print casts. I was standing in a delicious, warm place with my back to the sea when I took it.

    When my cousin Aly wanted a print to put above the dining table she inherited from our grandmother – a table that saw many family gatherings: roasts, puddings, scones, cups of milo enjoyed, laughs and garden blooms a-plenty, I thought – Ahhhh! How perfect. Thank you, Aly, for suggesting I share this photo and spread the abundant love some more. xxx

    This is a Japanese Windflower (anemone). I love these flowers. They have surprisingly long, thin, rigid stems and an ethereal beauty. When they move in the breeze they wave at you. I saw this one while I was out on a walk with my dog Sookie. It looked so beautiful with the sun behind it.

    While walking across the north of England with one of my best mates, Angela Wade, we passed this field full of buttercups. Ange looked at me. I was admiring the view. I looked back at her. She smiled that devilish smile that she gets when she’s about to do some living. She took off, running through the buttercups. I ran after her. We ran till we were surrounded by buttercups and then we lay on the ground. We looked around us. The buttercups were bobbing around in the breeze – little bursts of yellow against the grey clouds. It was bloody fantastic. If you haven’t lain in a field of buttercups before, I highly recommend it. Thanks Ange. I always know life is going to be fun with you around.

    This rose is from my garden. Buying a rose bush has been something I have done on reflex whenever I have moved to a new place. They help me to settle in and feel at home. I planted this one when my boys were babies and in my sleep deprived delirium I have forgotten what it’s called. Pretty sure it’s a David Austen rose. Could be Glamis Castle…but who cares! Dive on in!

    This photo was taken just outside the South Australian town Cowell, where I was born. I left here in 1975 when farming jobs were short so my Dad got a job in Darwin. We never lived in Cowell again but some of my favourite childhood memories were spent here and on nearby farms on holidays with my tea-towel flicking, kitchen-singing, dirty-joke cracking family.

    A beautiful, funny 4 year old I know called Jack found some leaves and painted them. I saw this one and the shape and pooling colours grabbed me so I put it on their kitchen bench and took a photo of it. I love how little people see things. And the joy they have in sharing them with you. I love that we made this together.
