    Paua Shell

    From: $120.00

When I showed this one to my son James he just said, “Wow.” He's a tough customer so I was rather pleased with that feedback. My friend Kitsy said, “What is it? It looks like a coral reef from the air. I want it.” She got it. She was one of my first customers. Thank you, darling Kitsy Lawes.

I took this photo of the inside of a paua shell in New Zealand. In Australia we call the creatures who live in these shells 'abalone'. The one who made this shell was a genius.

Printed on 308 gsm photo rag paper using archival quality inks.

    Rain Water Tank

    From: $120.00

The Rain Water Tank. Australian Icon and essential to life in many remote communities. This one lives in the town where I was born, on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. We grew up having very shallow baths as we relied on the rain water lasting as long as possible. I remember being quite shocked at how my husband, who grew up in the Melbourne, would frequently have deep, luxurious baths. I’d only ever seen this done in the movies. If we had wanted to immerse ourselves in water we went to the beach or jumped off the end of the jetty. “Yeah, grandma!” my cousin Vicki would yell. I never could cannon ball like she could.

Printed on 308 gsm photo rag paper or Hahnemuhle Daguerre canvas using archival quality inks. Please specify in your order message whether you want paper or canvas. All canvases come rolled and unstretched (without wooden frame).
